My Mission: Creative Advocacy
What began as an expansion of my love for teaching quickly became a passion for this environment and these students. As a faculty member of various conservatory-style music schools, I have helped young musicians find their version of success. But through connecting with people who experience success in a completely different world, I’ve gained an immense appreciation for a daily grind that is so unlike a musician’s. I now find so much joy in being the "creative reset" in the middle of a busy workday. Whether a student is stuck on a problem or just overwhelmed by a to-do list, they come in to untangle their mind—and that is where I find my purpose.
Where you’ll find me
My "out of office" usually means I’ve traded my curator hat for a costume. When I’m not building programs for our clients, I’m either performing as an operatic soprano or playing "professional fan" in the audience at an orchestra, jazz, or musical theater show.
My why
Art is where our differences become celebrations. I’ve spent my career realizing that whether you are on a stage or in a boardroom, we all need a space to unwind and rediscover our commonalities. An outlet for creativity and expression allows us to shine a light on the little pieces of ourselves we may find in our neighbor—becoming not just better artists, but more compassionate members of society.
